What the result measures
Enter a start date and time, then enter the end date and time. The result breaks the interval into calendar years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds. It also shows the total elapsed time in days and seconds.
Calendar units and elapsed totals
Calendar units are calculated from the date and time components, so a result can contain complete years and months before the remaining days and clock time. The total values use the actual difference between the two entered local date-time values.
Before you calculate
The end date must be the same as or later than the start date. The tool uses the date and time entered in your browser and does not apply a separate time-zone conversion.
