That tiny breath you take before a tricky jump, when the stickman crouches and the whole level feels like a single precision move.
Vex 6 is a straightforward, ruthless platformer where you run, jump, slide and wall bounce through spikes, saws and moving traps. You basically chain wall jumps and dashes to get past tight corridors and time-based obstacles. The levels are short but packed, so each mistake is immediate and you learn fast.
I like how the jumps feel crisp, even if some sections can be a bit unfair and make you rage for a minute. It feels close to Super Meat Boy or Geometry Dash in timing, but with the sticky wall play of earlier Vex games and a dash of N style movement.
Controls
- Move: Arrow keys or A D
- Jump: Up arrow or W or Space, hold a bit for higher jumps
- Slide: Down or S
- Dash: Shift key or E
- Respawn: R or Enter
A casual bit of advice, try to tap wall jumps for tiny corrections instead of holding into the wall, and use the dash to cut momentum when a long jump is about to overshoot. Don’t rush the first checkpoint in a new level, scout the hazards with small hops.
