We all know macs are powerful machines used by professionals to maintain their smooth workflow. Despite being one of the best products in the market, it is not devoid of problems.

Let’s start with the limited apps they have in the app store. This makes it difficult to find the right set of applications or software that provides a tailor-made solution to your problems.

I have been using macOS for more than 5 years, and trust me; these five years have taught me a lot about the good aspects of Mac and the bad aspects as well. Over these years, I have accumulated enough knowledge to share with you the best set of applications you need to have in your system to make it complete.

Must-Have macOS Applications

No matter what your profession is – whether you are a designer, content creator, or a simple college student; the application I am about to enlist below will add equal value to everyone’s life.

1. iBoysoft NTFS for Mac

NTFS for Mac developed by iBoysoft is a must-have application if you have the need to transfer data from different operating systems. For instance, you are a content creator and accept reference content from a fellow professional (creating content on Windows). The content you receive will be in the format of Windows NTFS but you have to edit it on your Mac device.

Your Mac will not be able to initiate a write operation. However, if you have iBoysoft NTFS for Mac, you can easily access, read, and write NTFS formatted files and folders on macOS.

2. iBoysoft Data Recovery

Guess many of you have encountered this situation: accidentally delete a file? You could have recovered it in the trash but unfortunately, you emptied it. What else can you do now to achieve data recovery? One tool that can definitely be helpful is iBoysoft data recovery software. It guarantees you 100% security without any virus or malware and a 99% data recovery rate along with an easy-to-use user interface. What’s more, it offers a 7-day trial for customers. You can give it a try before spending real money on it.

3. AndroidTool

AndroidTool is an open-source application that lets you use your system to on-click screenshots or initiate screen recording from your android or iOS smartphone. Furthermore, this application helps you fetch data, bug reports, share APKs, and other files pretty easily.

If you are a mac user, this software application is a must-have. It bridges the gap between your system and smartphone and allows you easy access.

4. Spectacle

What do you think will boost productivity – Staying away from your trackpad and mouse? If you can maintain that, your productivity will increase without knowing. However, the real problem is how do you do that? Have you ever heard of Spectacle?

Spectacle allows users to snap windows with ease, reducing their hand movement towards the mouse and trackpad. However, at the time of writing, this software does not maintain its action.

5. MacFly Pro

MacFly Pro is a maintenance application that ensures no redundant data is in the system. While you are working on your system, there is hardly any time for you to check what’s there in the system apart from working files and business presentations.

This is where MacFly shows its capability. It runs regular scans to find duplicate data and remove it to free some space. This additional space can certainly come in handy.

6. Giphy Capture

We are living in a world where everything is connected to social media. And when we talk about social media, how can we forget about Gifs. To ensure that we are playing our part in the social media society, Giphy Capture helps you create Gifs of your own.

You come across several videos that are Gif material but have no tool to use them. But not anymore; with Giphy, you can easily crop a portion of a video and make interesting Gifs.

Conclusion

While these are a few applications that I have in my system and are helping me boost my productivity, there are others like Evernote, Magnet, BetterTouchTool, and Alfred.

It is these applications that give life to the system you are using. If you do not trust me, uninstall whatever application you have in your system and now see whether you can use your Mac or not.

There is no doubt that this app helps you continue to do what you are doing. They are extensions of the system that provide convenience.
